I've been decorating!

Hi guys! I just thought I'd quickly update you all before I got to bed. Yes, as you can probably see, I've been decorating. The yellowness of my last layout never sat right with me, so I decided as today was the first time I'd been on a proper computer in weeks, I would give the look a little update. I'll probably be tweaking it over the next few days as I am a bit of a perfectionist.

All of the images are my own (of course) and I even took all of the photos myself (no more stealing from Google).

The picture above was taken while I was enjoying the rare summer weather on the beach. The thing with living near the sea and owning a camera is nearly every photo you take concerns the sea. Although it was warm and sunny, it rained, so I decided to take a coat with me. Bad idea. You know the hot, humid rain you only experience in places like Florida? Yup, you guessed it; grey, dismal Yorkshire turned into a tropical greenhouse. *Sigh*

Now, I know I said a couple of posts back that I would do a 'back-home haul', but I just haven't gotten round to it yet. I have filmed a review of the Hitachi Hada Crie, but I still need to edit the video. As it was my first ever video review (and also the first video in which I actually used my voice - I apologise for my accent in advance), there are quite a few very long pauses to cut out. There are a number of 'urms' as well.

Hopefully I'll get round to editing that video for you tomorrow. As for the haul, I'll try and do that in the next day or two. There are a lot of photos to be taken and I just haven't had the motivation.

Anyway, I'm making this post a short one as I am now going to start getting ready for bed.

I know on my last post I said my next post would be about what I've been buying since coming home but, well, I lied. Actually no, I didn't lie, I just didn't expect to be 'tagged'.

1. What is a nickname people call you?

    People don't really have a nickname for me. My boyfriend calls me 'Bear' a lot though.

2. What is one thing you cannot live without?

    My iPad. I am literally on it from the moment I wake up until the moment I fall asleep.

3. Who is your favorite YouTuber?

    Um...I don't know; there are so many! If I had to choose, I probably say Bubzbeauty, just because she's adorable.

4. What is your favorite food?

    Someone posted a picture of a cheese toastie on Instagram this morning and since then I want nothing but a cheese toastie. But usually my favourite food it spinach and mascarpone lasagne. 

5. What is your favorite thing in your closet?

    A cute little dress I bought a few weeks ago. It has a white, lacy top with a teal polka-dot skirt. I wear it with a navy blue leather belt, navy tights and my pocketwatch necklace.

6. Which one do you prefer, Mac or PC?

    I've never really used a Mac properly, so it will have to be PC.

7. What was your dream job when you were a child?

    I always wanted to be vet. I still do kind of want to be one, but I'm going to wait until I graduate before I start thinking about vet school properly.

8. What is your favorite thing to blog about?

    My life and my pets. I know this is a beauty blog, but I just love writing all of my thoughts out into a post none of you probably bother to read. ^_^

9. Heals or flats?

    Depends on the occasion. I love wearing heels, but only at special occasions, so flats would win, I think.

    Revlon lip butter in Tutti Frutti

Hi guys! I have to apologise for my lack of doing anything lately. I could lie and say I've been busy, but in all honesty I haven't. I guess I've just been relaxing at home, enjoying not having to share a room or coming downstairs to find the kitchen covered in months-old food (I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things like that). Don't get me wrong, student life is a lot of fun, but sometimes I just like to come back to a clean house without seven other people bumping into me where ever I go.

Anyway, since I came back I've unpacked (which took me three days to do), slept, slept and slept. I went shopping and got a few bits and bobs, then went online shopping and got a few more. I've decided my next post will just be a collection of what I've bought back up in Yorkshire, so watch out for that.

The weather hasn't really allowed me do much since it's been pouring with rain. As soon as I moved back up here, my university was flooded out and people had to be rescued due to something like a months worth of rainfall overnight! I was a bit sad that I'd missed it as nothing interesting really happens there, but I'm glad that I didn't get stranded. The rain has since moved up north, flooding quite a few towns and villages local to me, but I should be fine as I live on a hill.

Other things that I've been occupying myself with are catching up on all the writing I've neglected over the past few months. I have a Mibba and Wattpad account with stories that haven't been updated in a few months. My readers will have forgotten me by the time I get round to updating again! I would be a lousy author - shame that's one of my ambitions. Get your act together, girl!

I've also dyed my hair ginger (voluntarily) and I actually think it looks pretty good. My boyfriend disagrees though, but it's fine because it will wash out in a few weeks. I only used some wash-in wash-out stuff from Superdrug (Superdrug Colour Effects in Rich Red), but all who have experienced this non-permanent dye will know that it's not completely 'wash-out'. It does stain (especially blonde hair), so be careful if you are going to use it. As you can see by the picture, it did a pretty good job - and for £1.29.

So, I'll leave you there, hopefully satisfied that I'm not dead. I'm going to get back to enjoying the *ahem* summer weather. I'm trying out my new camera by taking pictures of the rain and seeing how well they come out. I'm a nerd... *sigh*
